INJAZ Kuwait has recently been honored as the INJAZ Al-Arab 2009 Regional Performance Champion. This award was presented to INJAZ Kuwait for the organization's dedication to excellence and its achievements during the 2008-2009 academic years. The award ceremony took place during the Annual INJAZ Al-Arab Middle East & North Africa (MENA) Training held in Amman, Jordan last month.

INJAZ Al-Arab is a confederation of national operations, including INJAZ Kuwait, collaborating with corporate volunteers and Ministries of Education in 12 countries to provide experiential education and training to Arab youth in work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship across the MENA region.

Based on INJAZ Al-Arab's performance evaluation of 12 INJAZ operations across the region, INJAZ Kuwait was recognized for the staggering growth of student participation in its programs, as well as other major accomplishments over the past academic year.

The number of students enrolled in INJAZ programs across Kuwait increased by an overwhelming 600% since the previous academic year. This effort is testament to INJAZ Kuwait's commitment to the organization's ideals and their success in shaping a more positive future for Kuwaiti youth.

In conjunction, INJAZ Kuwait is also celebrating the INSEAD Executive Education Social Entrepreneurship Program scholarship awarded to Chief Executive Officer Rana Kamshad in recognition of her leadership excellence during the 2008-2009 academic year. Ms Kamshad is the founding CEO of INJAZ Kuwait and her leadership has grown the program to over 6,000 students.

"Our mission at INJAZ Kuwait can be described as changing lives, building communities, and ultimately improving society. It is an absolute honor to be the recipients of these awards. These are truly a testament to the hard work and energy that we have breathed into INJAZ Kuwait over the past year," said Kamshad.

Under the umbrella of Junior Achievement Worldwide, INJAZ Al-Arab through its 12 operations across the region is the only organization in the MENA region that aims to equip students with practical business-related skills as part of the regular educational curriculum. INJAZ programs offer students an unbroken chain of educational opportunities that will strengthen their innovation, deepen their understanding of the business world, and give them professional qualifications to enable their success in the global economy.
