JA was first established in Massachusetts, USA in 1919, and has since grown to become a worldwide organisation specialising in the economic education of future generations across the globe.

Its rapid growth in the US, quickly led to JA’s expansion to Europe and Australasia. Be it as “Young Enterprise”, “Junior” or “Young Achievement” (in Great Britain, Germany, and Australia, respectively), JA has enjoyed enormous success and support throughout the world.

In 1999, Jordan became the first Arab country to join the JA movement, when it introduced “INJAZ Al-Arab” (INJAZ). Bearing witness to JA’s potential and success, the Jordan initiative was set up under the guidance of a graduate from JA’s programme
in England.

With the support of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan, JA’s Regional Ambassador for the Arab world, INJAZ has spread widely across the Arab region, having been successfully launched in Egypt and Lebanon (2003); Bahrain (2004); Kuwait and Oman (2005); and Saudi Arabia (2006 ).

Inspired by the success of INJAZ in the region and worldwide, INJAZ was brought to Kuwait by dedicated people from Kuwait’s private sector. A pilot programme was launched in August 2005 by a group of young Kuwaiti entrepreneurs and the American Kuwaiti Alliance (AKA) with the support of the Ministry of Education.
